General Information
The First International Workshop
for Research on HyperTransport™ is an accompanying event of
the Second
Symposium of the HyperTransport™ Center of Excellence (2009).
While the symposium is dedicated to invited talks from
leading experts in the field of HyperTransport, high
performance
processors and FPGA co-processing, the workshop is a forum for peer
reviewed papers. Both events perfectly fit together and
mutual
exchange between the participants is guaranteed.

The First International Workshop for Research on HyperTransport™ is organized by the Computer Architecture Group of the University of Heidelberg, Germany. The Computer Architecture Group operates in close collaboration with AMD the HyperTransport Center of Excellence (HTCE).The workshop is held in cooperation with the Information Technology Society (ITG) of the VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic &Information Technologies).
Program
We are proud to to announce Prof. José Duato from the Universidad Politècnica de Valencia (Spain) as key note speaker for the workshop. His academic record lists more than 340 publications, including book chapters and papers in journals and conference proceedings. Additionally, he has a great expertise in interconnection networks and many of his research results have found their way into commercial products. Most prominent examples are the Cray T3E, the Cray Black Widow, the Compaq Alpha 21364 (used in the Alphaserver GS320 supercomputer), and the IBM BlueGene/L supercomputer. The IBM BlueGene/L is most prominent as it is one of the world's fastest supercomputers today.| Key Note | |

Proceedings
The final proceedings of the workshop have been published using the OpenAccess server HeiDOk of the University of Heidelberg. The complete proceedings (ISBN 978-3-00-027249-3) as well as the individual papers can be accessed from theWHTRA09 Proceedings Portal
From the portal it is also possible to order a print-on-demand copy of the proceedings.

Call for Participation
Online registration for WHTRA is now open. As the workshop is an accompanying event of the Symposium you have to register at the Symposium's web site (Second Symposium of the HyperTransport™ Center of Excellence (2009)) or you use this direct link: Registration siteWe are looking forward to seeing you in Mannheim!
Submission
- All papers must be submitted as pdf document, along with a short abstract.
- Authors of accepted papers are required to complete and return a signed copyright agreement.
- Submissions must be formatted according to the IEEE standard double column format with a font size 10 pt. A paper may not exceed 10 pages. Please do not include page numbers.
- Detailed formatting instructions can be found here.
- Only original research results are accepted. Papers submitted to other conferences or journals are rejected without review.
All accepted contributions will be published electronically at the website of the HTCE as well as on HeiDOK, the Open Access document server of the University of Heidelberg. The publication platform offers free access to full-text documents and adheres to the principles of OpenAccess as well as the goals of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). The papers will be accessible through a special sub-portal and are fully citable.
Additionally all contributions will be available in the proceedings of the workshop (with ISBN).
