International Supercomputing Conference

In 2007 the Computer Architecture Group (CAG) of the University of Mannheim took again part in the International Supercomputing Conference located in Dresden. The CAG presented their current developments on the field of low-latency interconnection networks and HyperTransport related research on the HP academic partner booth/AMD booth. A live demonstration of an ULTRA based network was shown leveraging CAG's HTX-Board technology as well as HP's DL145 G3 Opteron servers (see picture 1 and 9). Again, the conference and the exhibition lead to many very interesting conversations with people from different organizations. Prof. Dr. U. Bruening also served as session chair of the HPC/Interconnection network session of the conference.
