Development of USB 2.0 to I2C and SPI Adapter

Project Report by Abduhamid Han

Increasing numbers of electronic devices in a system need more complex interconnection. Due to dierent specication of devices like supply voltage or drive strength it's dicult to manage this situation. In this project two protocols SPI and I2C are discussed to communicate and control several devices in a bus. Therefore USB 2.0 to I2C and SPI adapter with variable bus voltage and pull-up resistors of the I2C bus is developed to solve the problem with dierent specication. In addition C programs is implemented to communicate via I2C and SPI protocol. For optical reasons also a case is designed.
